{{*:table}} wrote that table for you

Turn on any mix. Or none, and still keep every lead.

Where it goes

Told the moment someone gets in touch.

Three ways to hear about a submission, and they are independent, so run whichever combination suits. Underneath all of them, every submission is saved to your account whether you set up a notification or not.

  • Email, with the answers in it. Write the message once and drop the answers in with field tags. One tag lays every answer out as a tidy table, so you are not listing fields by hand

  • Slack, for a team. Paste an incoming webhook address and each lead posts into the channel. Nobody has to be watching an inbox

  • A webhook, for everything else. Send each submission to Zapier, Make or your CRM and route it onward: a spreadsheet row, an email sequence, a task, a text

  • The from address is ours, not yours. Worth knowing so you are not hunting for it. Alerts arrive reliably with nothing to configure, and you reply using the address the visitor typed

Where leads come from

Which advert actually paid for itself.

This is the question every owner spending money on marketing wants answered, and most websites cannot answer it. Alongside the answers, every submission quietly records the trail of how that person found you. You set nothing up.

  • The campaign tags on your links. The source, medium and campaign attached to links in your ads, newsletters and social posts. "Came from Google", "came from the July newsletter"

  • Ad clicks, tied back. The identifiers advertising platforms add on a paid click, so a lead can be traced to the specific ad that produced it

  • First touch and last touch. How they originally discovered you, and what finally brought them back to fill the form in. Rarely the same thing, and the gap is where the insight is

  • It rides along with the alert. The source is in the email, the Slack post and the webhook, so your CRM and your reports get it without a second integration

Newsletter and lead magnets

Collecting an email is not the same as sending one.

Two lighter sections exist for when you only want an address: a Newsletter box, and a Lead Magnet that trades a guide or a checklist for it. Both drop onto any page and land in one subscribers list. One thing to be straight about before you rely on them.

  • They capture, they do not send. StoutStack never sends a confirmation or hands over a file itself. A signup is saved to your list, and if you add a webhook address in Site Settings it is passed straight to your mailing tool, which is the thing that does the sending

  • So the success message says so. New sections thank people and say they are on the list, which is true. Only promise a follow-up, like "we will be in touch", if someone will actually send one

  • Or hand the file over on the spot. For a lead magnet, point the success message straight at the download, or send them to a thank-you page that has it

  • Tidy either way. The same address signing up twice does not create a second entry, and someone who previously unsubscribed is reactivated rather than duplicated

The rest of the platform.

Questions this raises.

Yes. Place the form as a Quiz section and it becomes one question at a time, with photo choices if you want them, and asks for name and number last. Every dropdown you add to the form becomes its own screen, and the answers are saved with the submission like any other field.

It can. Under Quiz results, set a price per unit against one question and a size range against another, and StoutStack works out a range from what they picked. Add a payment factor from your finance provider and it shows a monthly figure too. Any wording about interest or approval is yours to write.

Every submission is still saved to your account under Form Submissions, with all the answers and where the lead came from. Notifications are a convenience so you do not have to keep checking; the saved record is the reliable master list.

Ninety days, then they are removed automatically. That keeps the list current and it is good privacy practice, since holding personal details forever with no reason to is worth avoiding. Anything you want to keep past three months, act on before then.

Alerts send from our address so they arrive reliably with nothing for you to configure. You will not find them under your own sending domain. To reply to the person, use the email address they entered, which is right there in the message.

Yes. Build it once, then override the button wording and the success message wherever you place it. The same form can read "Send my message" on your contact page and "Get my free quote" on a landing page, with one form to maintain.

No. A required field left blank or a mistyped email raises a clear error next to the field and the form will not send. Spam protection and rate limiting are on already. There is nothing to configure.

Only signed-in members of your site, and each site sees only its own. They are never public. Editing or removing subscribers is limited to admins so a mailing list cannot be changed by accident.
